Juanita Hall, 93, of Murphy died Saturday, November 3, 2012 in a Murphy medical center. She was a native and lifetime resident of Cherokee County. Juanita worked for several years as an insurance agent for United Family Life Insurance Company. She was a member of the Murphy First Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher, GA leader, WMU director, and choir member.

She was the daughter of the late D.J. and Lassie King Hughes and the wife of the late James B. Hall, who died April 9, 2004. She was also preceded in death by a son, Gary Hall; two brothers, Homer and Charlie Hughes; and a sister, Winona McMillian.

Surviving are a daughter, Vicki Bond of Murphy; three grandchildren, Darrin and Kimberly Bond, and Leigh Meeks; and four great grandchildren, James Enloe, and Nicholas, Jonathan, and Andrew Meeks.

Funeral services were held at 6:00 PM Tuesday, November 6, 2012 in the Chapel of the Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy with Rev. Aud Brown officiating. Interment was held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, November 7 in the Bellview Community Cemetery. Pallbearers were John Meeks, Steve Forrister, Jerry Brackett, James Hughes, Royce Hughes, and Jim Morgan.

The family received friends from 4:00-5:45 Tuesday evening at the Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy prior to the services.

The family requests memorials be made in loving memory of Juanita Hall to the Murphy First Baptist Church, 517 Hiwassee Street, Murphy, NC 28906.
