Bobby Carroll Clark, 75, of Andrews passed away Thursday, February 13, 2014 in a Chattanooga, TN hospital. He was a native and lifetime resident of Andrews. He served in the United States Army during the Berlin Crisis. He had worked for Ready Mix and Builders Supply, working as a mechanic. He was a member of the Andrews First Baptist Church. He was an avid fisherman.
He was the son of the late Jack and Flora Brown Clark. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Tine Chambers and Helen Smith; and two brothers, Gene and Jim Clark.
Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Mildred Sharp Clark; a daughter, Tammy Register and husband, Bobby of Murphy; three sons, Carroll Clark, and Marty Clark and wife, Elizabeth all of Andrews, and Jason Clark and wife, Rachelle of Nantahala; a sister, Betty Jackson of Antioch, TN; three grandchildren, Jessica and Justin Clark, and Jacob Register; and two great grandchildren, Landon Clark and Alexis Clark.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM Sunday, February 16, 2014 in Valley River Baptist Church with the Rev. Roy Phillips officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by the Andrews VFW Post 7620. Pallbearers were Carroll Hyde, R.L. Jordan, Dwayne Young, Bobby Register, Farrell Holloway, and Edwin Flowers.
The family received friends from 6-8 Saturday evening at the Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews where the body remained until placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the services.
